PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION TITLE: Therapist
REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical Services
SUPERVISES: N/A
PURPOSE:
To provide comprehensive, trauma-focused, professional and ethical mental health care to
clients while representing Harmony’s mission statement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the provision of individual, group and family psychotherapy. Manages a
caseload of outpatient clients and functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. Specific
tasks, duties and responsibilities outside of the general description of this position’s primary
functions are assigned by the Director of Clinical Services, and/or Executive Staff in order to
meet the needs of the individual client, specific program or of those within he agency.
• Conducts individual, group and family psychotherapy in a manner consistent with
ethical practices and within the skill level of the practitioner.
• Provides services in office, in home, in school or via telehealth.
• Conducts standard intake evaluations following agency guidelines, recommending
therapeutic treatment.
• Performs documentation activities in a timely and accurate fashion, adhering to
Medicaid Standards, State and Local licensing laws, as well as, policy requirements in
regard to agency formatting of documentation.
• Works with staff, clients and others in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful
and effective manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s Degree Required in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related
Behavioral Health Discipline.
• Practicum or Internship experience in the role of primary therapist. One year postgraduate experience preferred, but not required.
• Required: Licensed or license eligible in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Valid Automobile Insurance Coverage to meet agency requirements
• Pass Federal and APS/CPS background checks
