We are currently seeking an experienced therapist to perform a wide variety of patient care activities for adult men and women, as directed by the Clinical Director. Responsibilities include intake assessments, individual therapy/family therapy, group therapy, treatment plan development, and any other activities necessary to ensure that our patients are getting the help and support they need to establish and maintain their sobriety. The therapist is part of a treatment team whose job is to ensure that our patients get the best care possible, including awareness of the patient’s wrap-around needs in order to assist in recommendations for the appropriate aftercare to secure ongoing recovery success outside of this structured inpatient setting.

Our team of trained, skilled, and compassionate clinicians has a variety of personal and professional experiences to offer not only for our patients but for each other as we work together in providing quality substance abuse and mental health treatment for those struggling with co-occurring disorders. Our goal as a facility is to continue to be a leader in the field of substance abuse/mental health and provide professional opportunities to work toward West Virginia addiction certifications and other state licensure bodies to help provide supervision and growth as a team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

  1. EDUCATION:

Master’s degree in approved Human Services Related Field of counseling, social work, and/or psychology.

  1. EXPERIENCE:

Two years of work experience in the mental health field is preferred.

  1. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION DESIRED:

Licensure and/or licensed eligibility and/or 2 years work experience to practice clinical discipline in the appropriate state, as applicable, required in social work, counseling, criminal justice, psychology, and or Certified Addiction Professional.

  1. SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Organized and self-motivated

Demonstrated Proficiency in Communication & Written skills

Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes regarding Patient Confidentiality laws

Ability to learn EMR and provide strong documentation skills

Willingness to learn and abide by WV Medicaid and private insurance guidelines

Work collaboratively with other professional agencies to assist with the continuity of care

  1. SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION:

– Individual therapy and group therapy of assigned caseload

– Development of a comprehensive problem list that reflects the patient’s individual issues as described in assessments and the Integrated Summary and presents the psychosocial and diagnostic information to the treatment team.

-Maintain clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies, document the patient’s progress accurately as it relates to treatment goals and objectives, ensure that documentation is timely, consistent, clear, and articulate, and keep clinical records secure at all times.

-Assist in aftercare planning by being part of the development of appropriate aftercare planning sessions with the treatment team to assist in setting patients up for a more successful recovery process once they leave inpatient treatment.

– Other clinical duties as needed and assigned.
